The short version
Terms comparison from both official pricing pages, captured in USD on October 4, 2026. No accounts were created.
This is the least obvious matchup on the page, because Craft is not a workspace. Craft is a document design tool — Apple-platform, block-based, built for people who care how a page looks. Notion is a workspace with a document editor in it. They compete only at the edges.
Pricing side by side
| Notion | Craft | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, unlimited pages, 5 MB/file | $0, 1,500 blocks, 1 GB storage, 25 MB media, 7 days history, 15 AI credits |
| Entry paid | Plus $10/member/mo yearly · $12 monthly | Plus $6.40/person/mo yearly · $8.00 monthly |
| Bundle | Business $20 yearly at per-member pricing | Family $12–$15/mo for 2–6 Plus accounts; Team $50/mo for up to 10 Plus accounts |
| AI | Trial on Free and Plus; full from Business | 15 AI credits on Free, 50 credits/month on Plus, Core/Fast/Max models, API 100 req/min |
| Publishing | Custom domains $8/mo per domain (annual) | Built into the product; Share Space is a Plus feature |
Craft is the cheaper product by a clear margin at the individual level — $6.40 against $10 — and its bundle model is unusual: Family at $12/month buys 2 to 6 Plus accounts, and Team at $50/month covers up to 10. Those are fixed prices, not per-seat prices.
The free-plan ceilings differ in kind
Notion’s free limits are about collaboration and file size: 5 MB per upload, and blocks stop being unlimited once a second member joins. Craft’s free limit is about the work itself: 1,500 blocks. The page also caps Free at 1 GB storage, 25 MB per media upload, and 7 days of version history, with link-sharing unavailable and a shared Space reserved for Family.
1,500 blocks is roughly 20–30 pages of ordinary writing. Anyone using Craft seriously outgrows it immediately; the AI credit difference is the same shape, 15 on Free versus 50 a month on Plus.
Where they actually diverge
Craft’s differentiation is in the page itself: blocks for layout, unlimited blocks and storage on Plus, 30 days of version history, cross-device sync, and AI assistant credits with Core, Fast and Max model tiers plus MCP access. Its Family and Team plans add a shared Space, which is Craft’s only real collaborative surface.
Notion’s differentiation is everything Craft doesn’t attempt: databases with custom properties and relations, multiple database views on one source, forms with conditional logic, dashboards, calendar connections, project management views, guests free on paid plans, and — from Business $20 — Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and SAML SSO.
Verdict
If the deliverable is a beautiful document, Craft at $6.40 per person is cheaper and the output is better suited to the job. This is why it survives head-to-head with Notion despite having no project management.
If the deliverable is a workspace others work in, Craft has nothing comparable. Notion Plus at $10 per member, with guests free on paid plans, is the only one of the two that answers the question.
Both are worth pricing side by side with the rest of the field in Notion alternatives; the broader note-taking comparison is Notion vs Obsidian.
