Correction first (2026-09-26)
This page originally ran under the title “The Numbers the Page Refuses to Print”, based on our
2026-09-14 capture in which Typeform’s pricing cards rendered the currency label “USD” with no
dollar amount — the numbers were bound client-side and never reached the document text layer.
That finding anchored our tilde-hedged Typeform prices (~$29, ~$59) across this site.
On 2026-09-26 we re-captured the same page in both billing states, twice, in two separate browser contexts. The digits are back in the text layer. What the page prints today:
| Basic | Plus | Business | Growth Flow | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yearly state (per month) | 28 USD/mo | 56 USD/mo | 91 USD/mo | 266 USD/mo |
| “Save” line (yearly state) | Save 132 USD/yr | Save 276 USD/yr | Save 456 USD/yr | 266USD/mo after 14 days |
| Monthly state (per month) | 39 USD/mo | 79 USD/mo | 129 USD/mo | 379 USD/mo |
| Yearly total (monthly state) | 468 USD/yr | 948 USD/yr | 1,548 USD/yr | — |
| Responses/mo | 100 | 1,000 | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Users | 1 | 3 | 5 | 5 |
Every figure in that table is verbatim innerText from the 2026-09-26 captures, and both captures are reproducible: a second run in a fresh browser context (with an extra settle delay before reading) returned the identical numbers in identical order.
What else moved beyond the digits
- Plus seats: 2 → 3 users. Our 09-14 capture printed “2 users” for Plus; the live card now says “3 users”. Whether the plan or the render changed, the page-verified value today is 3.
- The “379 vs 266” question resolves as one plan’s two billing states. The 09-14 version of this page noted the trial copy printed “379USD/mo after 14 days” and “266USD/mo after 14 days” without labeling which plan each belonged to, and we refused to guess. The 09-26 captures show both numbers on the Growth Flow card — 266 in the yearly state, 379 in the monthly state. One plan, two prices; not two plans.
- The AI Enrich add-on ladder re-prices with the toggle: 25 / 75 USD/mo in the yearly state, 29 / 89 USD/mo in the monthly state (still “Billed monthly” in both). Availability unchanged: the entry add-on is available on all plans except Free and Basic — a Basic buyer still cannot buy AI Enrich at all.
Unchanged on 09-26: no Free card among the paid tiers; the FAQ still describes the free plan only as “a limited number of responses per month” with no number (our 2026-09-06 capture’s “10/mo” remains a historical value); Enterprise is still “Custom plans”; the Talent HR offer still prints “starting at 119 USD/mo”; the sales threshold is still “over 50,000 responses/month”.
Why we keep the 09-14 capture instead of deleting it
Silently rewriting a dated observation is exactly the behavior we criticize on vendor pages, so the record stands:
- 2026-08-30 — first capture in our Tally alternatives page: the Basic card already read “28 USD/mo” as text.
- 2026-09-06 — review capture; tier digits cross-tracked from third parties (
$29/$59). - 2026-09-14 — Playwright, both toggle states, three-layer text probe: zero dollar digits; we published “the numbers the page refuses to print”.
- 2026-09-26 — digits fully back, in both states, reproduced in a second session.
Read as a sequence, this is the strongest argument we can make for our own rule: a rendered-page fact is only valid with its capture date. The 08-30 and 09-26 captures agree (28 USD); the 09-14 outlier was a transient rendering or A/B state of Typeform’s price component — which means a comparison article written once and never re-checked will carry a confident, dated, and wrong statement about this vendor at some point in its life. Ours now carries the correction instead.
Where this lands against the cross-tracked numbers
The third-party consensus we refused to assert as page text (Basic ~$29/mo yearly, Plus ~$59/mo) is within a dollar of what the page itself now prints — 28 and 56 — and the monthly cross-track ($39 / $79) matches the live page exactly. The tildes come off where we can: our Jotform vs Typeform head-to-head has been updated with a 2026-09-26 dated note pointing at the now-printed 28/56/91 figures.
Practical notes for buyers
- Yearly vs monthly is a real ~40% per-month premium: 28→39, 56→79, 91→129 (+39.3% / +41.1% / +41.8%). The toggle’s “Save 30%” claim is measured on yearly totals (39×12 = 468 vs 28×12 + 132-style saves), i.e. the discount applies to the annual charge, not to the displayed per-month rate — we quote the page’s own arithmetic rather than smoothing it.
- The shared response pool still rules the economics: Basic’s 100 responses/mo is a month-wide budget across unlimited forms — one popular form eats the quota (unchanged page text since 09-14).
- Custom domain: the Plus card advertises “Custom subdomain”; full custom-domain availability was Enterprise-only in our 09-06 feature mapping — re-confirm in checkout if that feature decides your plan, since the pricing page itself does not settle it.
Prices and limits re-verified 2026-09-26 from typeform.com/pricing (Yearly default state and Monthly state; captured twice in separate browser contexts with identical results — the evidence panel above holds the 09-14 historical capture and both 09-26 states). Original 09-14 findings kept as a dated correction. See our testing methodology for how we verify claims.
