The short version
All figures were captured from the live OpusClip pricing page and OpusClip’s own help center on 2026-09-23 (proxied Chromium session; no account created, no video processed), and the pricing page was re-checked 2026-10-28 — zero drift: the same $0/$15/$29 headlines, Free-card verbatim limits, 60/150/300 credits, 100GB storage, rollover and pack ladder all re-rendered unchanged. This is the single OpusClip terms page: what the four cards compress into single words — storage, seats, packs and unit prices — plus the plan-by-plan reading formerly published as a separate terms check at /saas/opusclip-review/, merged here on 2026-10-20 (one pricing intent, one URL). For rivals, see the OpusClip alternatives page.
The currency is time, not credits
The pricing page meters “credits”; the help center (plans-and-credits) defines the same allowance
as processing minutes — Free 60, Starter 150, Pro 300 per month, using “minutes” and “credits”
interchangeably in its own sentences. One hour of source video is roughly a whole month of the Free
plan. And the Free plan’s binding constraint is not volume but time: its card prints verbatim
Has watermark, No editing, After 3 days, the clips will no longer be exportable.
“Save up to 50%” is one of the honest ones. Pro lists $29 USD next to $14.5 USD/mo and
$174 billed annually; 174 ÷ 12 = 14.50, exactly half of 29 — a clean 50.0%. The “up to” does real
work elsewhere: Starter prints “only available in monthly”, so no annual discount exists at the
$15 tier. (For context in our running discount-arithmetic series: Zapier’s “Save 33%” computes to
33.3%, PhantomBuster’s “Save 20%!” to 18.8–19.8%.)
| Plan | Price | Credits (= processing min/mo) | Media storage | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 60 | Expires after 3 days | — |
| Starter | $15/mo, monthly-only | 150 | Expires after 29 days | — |
| Pro | $29/mo or $174/yr ($14.50/mo) | 300 | 100GB fixed | 2 per pack |
| Business | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Two things on this table are not visible on any plan card: Starter storage is printed only in the full comparison matrix as “Expires after 29 days” (evidence image 2), and Pro’s “100GB” storage is fixed rather than tied to how many packs you buy (evidence image 3).
Unit price: what a processing minute costs
Because OpusClip’s help center defines one credit as one processing minute, dividing the subscription by the included quota gives a per-minute price — our arithmetic on the page’s own printed numbers:
| Plan | $ / processing minute |
|---|---|
| Starter ($15 ÷ 150) | $0.100 |
| Pro monthly ($29 ÷ 300) | $0.097 |
| Pro annual ($14.50 ÷ 300) | $0.048 |
Readings:
- Pro monthly barely undercuts Starter per minute ($0.097 vs $0.100). You are mostly paying for editing, scheduling, extra video sources and the team workspace, not cheaper volume. What $15 buys at Starter is watermark removal and throughput: the Free and Starter feature lists both stop short of the editing suite the Pro card itemizes (AI B-Roll, custom clip lengths beyond presets, NLE export, multi-aspect), so expect to download whatever the AI produced, unedited. Flagged as the page’s feature-list structure, not a tested workflow claim — we never ran a clip through the editor at any tier.
- The annual cycle is where the unit price halves — $0.048/min, the same exactly-50% discount verified in the review. If you clip every month, annual Pro is the only tier where the per-minute price moves materially.
- We could not capture a printed per-pack price in the text layer (the selector changes pack count but no per-pack dollar figure rendered for our session), so we do not state one; treat any multi-pack total as checkout-confirmed only.
Pro packs: where the page and the help center disagree
Pro is the only plan that allows adding “packs.” The two official sources publish conflicting limits:
- Help center (plans-and-credits, captured 2026-09-23): each pack includes 2 users, each additional pack grants “300 more credits per month” and 2 more seats, “up to a maximum of 4 seats (reached at 2 packs).” It also states Pro is the only plan on which packs can be added.
- Pricing page (captured 2026-09-23, evidence image 1): the pack selector renders options from 1 pack through 15 packs, followed by “Contact us for more credits.”
A single creator on 1 pack gets 300 credits and 2 seats. Per the help center’s own rules, a second
pack would mean 600 credits and 4 seats — its stated ceiling. The page’s 3-through-15-pack options
therefore either map to arrangements the help center routes to Business (“organizations that need
over 10 seats”), or represent a control that isn’t reconciled with the documented limits. On the
2026-10-28 re-check the comparison matrix itself now prints 2 users / pack, up to 4 users — the
pricing page now states the same seat ceiling the help center always did, so the cap is no longer
buried in docs only; the 3–15 pack selector still renders but the page’s own matrix caps seats at 4.
We report the contradiction as captured rather than guessing which is enforceable; confirm seats and
credits for any multi-pack purchase in writing before paying.
Two related pack rules the help center does publish: you cannot buy extra credits or seats on their own — only as a pack — and reducing pack count takes effect at the end of the billing cycle.
The storage ladder is stricter than the prices suggest
Storage is the quiet axis:
- Free: projects expire 3 days after processing — the same 3-day window the plan card prints as an export limit.
- Starter: 29 days. Roughly a month of runway, then projects are no longer available.
- Pro: 100GB fixed storage; custom assets and overlays share the same pool, and a second pack does not enlarge it per the printed comparison row.
- Business: unlimited media storage.
If your workflow is “process now, edit and archive over the following weeks,” Free’s three days and Starter’s 29 days are hard clocks, not soft guidelines — the only way off the clock is Pro’s fixed pool or Business.
Downgrade rules worth knowing before the first bill
The help center (2026-09-23) spells out asymmetric downgrade paths:
- Pro monthly → Starter: allowed from the subscription page, takes effect at the next cycle.
- Pro yearly → Starter: not directly possible — you must cancel and resubscribe on Starter.
- Any paid plan → Free: takes effect immediately (paid features lost at once), is blocked unless you have fewer than 30 credits left, and your videos become watermarked. If you hold more than 30 minutes of credits, the documented route is to cancel rather than downgrade.
The practical ordering: a same-tier pack reduction or Pro-monthly-to-Starter move waits for cycle end, while stepping down to Free is immediate and irreversible mid-cycle — so schedule the downgrade after you have exported everything.
What the capture could and could not confirm
- Verified against the live page (2026-09-23 and re-checked 2026-10-28): all four plan names, the $0/$15/$29 headline prices, the “Starter plan only available in monthly” line, the verbatim Free-card limits (watermark / no editing / 3-day exportability), “Unused credits roll over for 2 months”, the 1x–15x pack ladder, and the help center’s processing-minutes definitions and downgrade gate. On 2026-10-28 every one of these re-rendered unchanged (zero drift).
- Verified with a caveat: the annual-state figures ($14.50/mo, $174 billed annually, the “Save up to 50%” banner) printed in our first session’s rendered text and in the page’s server-rendered source layer, but four subsequent fresh sessions the same day would only render the monthly state — the billing switch is an invisible checkbox we could not trigger reliably. Treat the dollar math as printed-page fact and confirm the $174 total at checkout, which is where the charge is actually committed.
- Deliberately not quoted: a May-2026-dated third-party guide listing Starter at $9 and Pro at $19 — it contradicts the official page captured the same week, and we trust the official capture. Other 2026 trackers (monthly $15/$29, annual $14.50/$174, 3,600 credits on Pro annual) agreed with our capture and served as cross-checks only.
- Not verified: that 1 credit consumes exactly 1 source minute at every video length and resolution (the help center equates the terms in prose; we ran no jobs), and caption quality in any language.
Prices and limits captured from opus.pro/pricing and help.opus.pro on 2026-09-23, re-checked on opus.pro/pricing 2026-10-28 (zero drift; evidence images in the panel above). Unit-price and per-minute figures are our arithmetic on the page’s printed numbers; pack pricing above 1 pack was not printed in our capture and is flagged as unconfirmed. Nothing here is a hands-on test — no account was created. See our testing methodology for how we verify claims.
